House updates

We are in the house now. It has been a crazy holiday. We moved into the house a few days after we closed. We found that we couldn't really fix it up unless we were in it. Corbin quoted us a price to clean the carpets that we couldn't resist, so we let him help us out.

We have also decided that we might want to rent out the mother-in-law quarters, so we have decided to fix it up first.  Mike and his dad have been busy ripping out the flooring and wallpaper, and then texturing the ceiling and walls and painting.  Here is their work in progress.

Darin came over and helped us with some wiring issues and we now have heat in this part of the house. I think that this part of the house may be done by the end of this week or next week. It will be nice to have something finished. 

Next we want to attack downstairs.  We need to finish painting, and I hope to get new flooring in the bedrooms. I'll keep you posted on our progress... There is so much still to do.

Thanksgiving break

House

We put an offer in on this house last month, and someone out-bid us. Friday, we got a call telling us that the other person was  unable to get their financing and it was ours if we still wanted it. We should be signing the contract on Monday or Tuesday. The house is in Nampa near Lake Lowell. It is 3200 sqft. on an acre. It has 5 bedrooms and 4 bathrooms. It should be plenty big for our family.

School Work

I had my first parent/teacher conference last week, and the teachers gave me these 2 things that the boys have done.  They were so cute I thought I would share them.

Corbin did this first one. It was titles All About Me, but I cut off the title when I scanned it.

Corbin's three wishes are kind of hard to read. They were 1) I had a unicycle. 2) I had a big back yard. 3) I had a big tree to climb.

This is a Story that Tyler did in Kindergarten titled Look Out...

Rylan wanted to be included in this so he drew a picture of Mike.

Time with dad

Mike took the boys to ride motorcycles today. It is snowing and cold, but nothing beats riding motorcycles with dad. I was the lucky one and got to stay home to clean house.  Anyway these are videos of Rylan and Tyler riding. Tyler has riden before, but this is Rylan's first time.
