Looking for books

I want to add to our library. My kids are tired of the books that we have, and frankly so am I. Please comment and tell me your or your kids' favorite books. I'd like to buy books that the kids will like instead of just picking something and then not really liking it. Thanks.

First Day of School

Today is the first day of school. I loved summer, but I am so glad it is over and we can become a little more scheduled. This summer was a really busy one for us, and I plan to blog about it soon, but for now here are a few pictures of the kids before school.

Hiking

We took the kids hiking yesterday, we went up towards bogus basin. This trail was really nice. Mike and I packed the youngest two and the oldest three walked. Everyone did really well, but Rylan did get tired near the end. We sometimes forget he is only three because he is so active. Afterwards we drove up to Bogus Basin and found this snow. The kids had to check it out.

Payette River

Last Sunday we felt like getting out, so we took a drive up the Payette River.

Just some odds and ends

Since moving here, we don't take as many pictures of the kids...I'll have to do something about that. These were taken on Mother's Day.

Friday we took the kids swimming at the YMCA. It was too cold outside to do anything, unfortunately the pool was also too cold for the littler kids to swim in too.  Poor Merek started the turn purple and couldn't stop shivering. We had to dip him in the hot tub to warm him up, and then get him dressed. So much for swimming. I can't wait for the warm weather to visit this area.  I need to take my kids outside more, I'm sick of being inside.

Merek also used the potty for the first time the other day. He has been taking off his diaper and sitting on the potty a lot, but for the first time, he actually used it. He was so excited.

Memories

This is my last outing with the boys before we moved, KSC Family Day. Brings back memories...
