Mike it appears that Corbin has stumbled upon a Spicebush Swallowtail (Papilio troilus). What an amazing looking caterpillar. The butterfly is cool looking also.
it is normally green but turns yellow just before it goes to cacoon. If you still have it you may be able to put it in a jar and have a great life science lesson with your boys.
It must of been Corbin's lucky day. What a find!
My girls are sooooo jealous. Aleah and Emily spend most of their free time looking for cool caterpillars.
