This year for Halloween, Commander Corbin Hawkins is traveling on the...

Space Shuttle as he explores...

Outerspace!

Happy Halloween Everyone!

Fun at our house

Here's the yummy food that we had for dinner last night. We have become very spoiled.

There are cupcakes that we made for Corbin's halloween party. They were a lot of fun to make.

Bet you don't recognize these...

My latest news is...
Mike's coming home to visit. He will be here Nov. 13th. I am so excited!

Odds and Ends

Green Meadows

Last Friday, Corbin didn't have school, so I took them to Green Meadow's petting farm with some of our friends. They have all kinds of animals that you can hold and pet, and you get to milk a cow, go on a train ride, a hay ride, and pick a pumpkin out of the pumpkin patch. (For non-Floridians, a pumpkin patch here, is a spot where they have spread out pumpkins on the ground. Kind of disappointing.) We had great fun.

This is the hay ride.

The pictures aren't the best. My photographer wasn't around.

Here is Corbin pulling the kids from spot to spot. He is a great helper.

Here's the bug that Corbin caught. He is more into bugs than farm animals.

Today, I turned on the sprinklers because our grass is dying, and Corbin discovered a sprinkler that wasn't working, so he ran and got his spares, and replaced the sprinkler.

After the sprinklers, I cleaned the boys up and they decorated cupcakes and made cards for some of our friends. We didn't make it to everyone's house today, so millers and parhams, we are coming your way tomarrow.
On another note, Rylan used the potty for the first time today. He likes to sit on it, but he finally used it properly. I'm so excited. It's about time to potty train.

I now know why...

I now know why my mom always burnt our grilled sandwiches.

Mike left yesterday night. So today, I've been on my own. After church the kids were starving. Since it is a bit chilly out, I decided to make grilled cheese sandwiches and tomato soup. While I was preparing lunch I told the kids to take off their Sunday clothes. Simple enough I thougt. Well, Rylan took off his clothes and his diaper. I had two sandwiches on the grill, and decided to diaper him after they were finished. (I'm sure you can see where this is going.) I turned around just in time to see him pee in the middle of the kitchen floor. I ran and grabbed a towel to quickly clean it up. Then I hear "Ëww, poop," I turn around to see that Rylan has pooped on the floor, and Opie is running off with it. I chased Opie down, disposed of the poop, and my sandwiches are now burnt. Mom, I have new respect for you.

The Plan

As everyone already knows, Mike got a job in Houston. Now the big question is 'what is our plan?' Well here it is...

Mike is going to drive to Texas on Oct. 18th, and stay with his sister, Jennifer, for a little while, while he gets started. I am going to continue to work for now. My boss has agreed to let me work from home part time (USA people, don't spread this please). I have two people that are going to help me with the kids. Nanny #1 is going to come in the morning, and get the kids up, feed them, get them ready, send Corbin to school, and work some educational crafts and activities. I will then come home and feed the kids lunch, and put them down for naps. Then nanny #2 is going to come over and help me clean and cook dinner while I finish up working from home. I am really excited about my help. Without them, there is no way that I could take care of 4 and work. I am hoping that I will still get laid-off, but that is only a hope. In the end, we expect to save a little before I move, so that we can afford to buy a house.

I'll keep you posted on how things are working out...

Oh, Happy Birthday Mia!

Birthday Bonanza

We have had a plethera of birthdays as of late. Here are some of the pictures from the parties. We started with Rylan, and ended with Tyler. My Boys are now 7,4, and 2.

Well, I could only find the pictures for Rylans party. I'll look for the others later. Corbin thought that Rylan's birthday party was boring. We only had cake and played at the park, so I made sure he liked his party. We played a balloon game, had a waterballon fight, made homemade rootbeer (which was really gross, but the dry ice was cool). We had cake and presents, and then we broke open the pinata. Who could ask for more?
