Those osprey photos are great. I wish I could have seen them. I looked up the gray bird and I think it is a Loggerhead Shrike. Our bird book says it is 7 inches long though, and yours looks shorter - but it is hard to tell. It also says it is rare. Good photo capture.

Thanks for the compliments and for ID of the bird. I read up on the bird and it seems to be ferocious preditor. Looks can be deceiving sometimes.
